Objectives

The overall objectives of the cross-border project are halting the decline of the interior of Istria, as well as conservation of cultural heritage and promoting development and integrated tourist product, creating a joint cross-border tourist destination and promoting sustainable tourism development in the Istrian rural area based on cultural and natural resources. Benefit of the project for target groups covers the set specific cross-border objectives:

• creating a revitalisation model of the Istrian interior,
• creating integrated tourist products,
• improving and reconstructing tourism infrastructure, and restoring cultural heritage,
• promoting cross-border cultural exchange and events to raise awareness of local population and other interest groups on cultural and development potentials in the rural part of Istria.
