Questa località si è sviluppata sulle rive del fume Quieto un centinaio d’anni fa, innanzitutto grazie alla Parenzana. A quei tempi levade era un centro trafcato, dove si commerciavano vino, olio d’oliva e altri prodotti agricoli. Sempre nello stesso periodo, nella val-le del Quieto si scoprì il tartufo bianco: levade divenne la “capitale” della raccolta e della distri-buzione di questo tubero pregiato. oggi la loca-lità è rinomata in tutto il mondo e fa da sfondo a manifestazioni ed esperienze di vario genere legate alla storia del tartufo.

Tis town along the mirna River de-veloped some one hundred years ago, mostly owing to the Parenzana railroad. livade was at the time the trafc and commercial center for wine, olive oil and other agricultural produce. When the white trufe was discovered in the Mirna Valley, livade became the collection and distribution center of this valuable mushroom. Today, it is known for its numerous events and experiences linked to the story of the trufe.
